1. Who we are
Verified Sift (“we”) prepares and licenses screened datasets derived exclusively from public government records, principally Connecticut Superior Court civil case records, town clerk land indices, municipal assessor and GIS systems, and the Connecticut Secretary of State business registry. We are not a collection agency, we do not contact debtors, and we do not sell to consumers.
2. Information we collect
- Inquiry data. When you request a sample or contact us, we receive the name, firm name, business email, license number (where applicable), and any content you send.
- Commercial records data. The datasets we compile are derived from public government records: court docket entries, recorded land indices, assessor valuations, and business filings. This information is public by law; we compile, screen, verify, and format it.
3. What we do not do
- We do not contact judgment debtors.
- We do not collect debts, and we do not act as a debt collector as defined by the FDCPA.
- We do not sell data to consumers or to unlicensed parties.
- We do not sell inquiry data (your contact information) to third parties.
4. How compiled data is used
Compiled datasets are licensed to licensed collection firms, judgment purchasers, and credentialed professionals for lawful post-judgment evaluation. Records are marked verified-unsatisfied as of the delivery date. Buyers are solely responsible for their own compliance with the FDCPA, FCRA, Connecticut banking statutes, and any other applicable law in their use of the data.
5. Data subject rights
Because our compiled records originate from public government sources, court and land-record information remains publicly available from its original government custodians regardless of our processing. Any person who believes a compiled record is inaccurate may contact us; we will re-verify against the public source and correct or withdraw the record in the next batch cycle. Requests regarding inquiry data may be sent to the contact address below.
6. Security and retention
Inquiry data is retained only as long as needed to evaluate and service a business relationship. Delivered files are watermarked per buyer and logged. We do not publish consumer-facing profiles or listings.
