Refund Policy
Effective: [date pending launch] — working site, pending formation.
All sales are final.
Why this policy is written this way
Our product is verified current-state information, not a good that can be returned. Once a watermarked batch has been delivered, its contents are in the buyer's possession and cannot be revoked. This is standard for data licensing, and it is why the purchase process is built the way it is:
A partial sample is provided free of charge before purchase, containing the publicly verifiable fields. Buyers verify provenance independently against the Connecticut Judicial Branch public case look-up. The decision to purchase, and the completeness of that verification, is the buyer's; delivery of the enrichment follows cleared payment without cancellation.
The narrow exception
If a delivered batch contains a provenance error (a docket number that does not resolve on the public system, a disposition date that contradicts the public record, or a record already showing satisfied status as of its stated verification date), we will correct or replace the affected record in the next batch cycle, or credit its per-record price against the next order. This is a correction commitment, not a refund window.
Exclusivity windows
Where a dated-exclusivity tier is purchased, the seller's warranty is defined in the Terms of Sale. A breach of that warranty is remedied by refund of the exclusivity premium attributable to the affected batch, not rescission of the data license.
