Terms of Sale

Effective: [date pending launch] — working site, pending formation.

1. Definitions

“Batch” means a dated, watermarked set of screened judgment records delivered by Verified Sift (“Seller”) to a purchaser (“Buyer”). “Enrichment” means the non-public screening columns (defendant location of record, asset-screen results, verification dates). “Provenance fields” means the publicly verifiable fields: docket number, case identifiers, court, and disposition date.

2. What is sold

Seller licenses compiled datasets derived from public government records. Provenance fields on any record are independently verifiable by Buyer on the Connecticut Judicial Branch public case look-up. The product consists of the screening, enrichment, verification, and formatting applied to those public records.

3. Sample; verification before purchase

A partial sample (docket numbers and case identifiers only) is provided on request before purchase. Buyer is encouraged to verify the sample independently against public sources. Purchase of a Batch constitutes acceptance that Buyer has completed its own verification of provenance.

4. License; exclusivity

• Tier 1 (Batch license). Non-exclusive. Seller may license the same Batch to other purchasers after delivery.
• Tier 2 (Dated exclusivity). If purchased, Seller warrants that the Batch bearing the stated watermark will not be delivered to any other purchaser during the stated exclusivity window. After the window, Seller may license the Batch without restriction.
• Tier 3 (Segment routing). First-call arrangement on new Batches matching a defined segment, renewable by mutual agreement.

Exclusivity covers the Batch as delivered. Enhancements, corrections, and new Batches are separate products.

5. Buyer qualifications

Data is sold only to licensed collection firms, judgment purchasers, attorneys, and credentialed professionals engaged in lawful post-judgment activities. Buyer represents that it will use the data in compliance with the FDCPA, FCRA, Connecticut banking statutes, and all other applicable law. Seller reserves the right to refuse any order.

6. No recovery warranty

Seller warrants the accuracy of provenance fields as of the verification date stated on each record and the good-faith preparation of Enrichment from public sources. Seller makes no warranty, express or implied, regarding collectability, recovery outcomes, debtor circumstances after the verification date, or the future status of any record. Records may become satisfied or otherwise moot after delivery; Seller does not warrant continued validity.

7. Watermarks; misuse

Delivered files are watermarked per Buyer. Redistribution of a delivered Batch to third parties, except as permitted by an exclusivity or reseller arrangement in writing, terminates the Buyer's license and all future supply arrangements without refund.

8. Payment; no refunds

Payment is due before delivery of Enrichment. See the Refund Policy: all sales are final.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Venue lies in Hartford County.
